Fallkniven F1 micarta handle durability?

So somehow I am about to end up with another Fallkniven F1, this one with green micarta handles. I couldn't resist the price.

The rubber handled version that I have and am familiar with has the tang extend out the rear of the handle to provide a sturdy contact point if you want/need to hammer the knife into something.

The micarta version doesn't appear to have that tang extension. So I'm guessing that whacking on that handle end would result in broken scales. Thoughts? Anyone have one and done that to it?

Micarta is one of the most durable handle materials but it won't stand up to hammering. I wasn't aware that the micarta F-1 was different until you mentioned it but the photos don't show the hammer.

The Fallkniven F1GM is probably my favorite Fallkniven of all. I have approx. a dozen Fallknivens so as you can see I really do like their products. I also like the stainless finger guard on the GM model. The 2 standard older F1's I have set up in piggyback configurations, one with a Beker Brute, and one with the A1 Fallkniven.
My F1's are the solid VG-10 but the F1GM is a laminated VG-10 blade....very very nice and sharp. I modified one of my other F1 sheaths so my GM now ride in a dangle sheath....love it that way
