Fallkniven F1 Sheath Choice.

Going to order this today. Quick question. What do you think? Leather or Zytel? Leaning toward the Zytel because I go fishing a lot. But the leather seems nice.

I ordered mine with the zytel sheath and ended up ordering a custom kydex sheath as well. I'd say, order the leather one and if you do not like it I'll swap sheaths with you...just shoot me a PM.

I have the leather and it's a quality sheath. Very nice, except for one thing....the darn closure flap. The knife friction fits into the sheath tight and I don't see a need for the flap. Makes deployment more difficult and you have a flap slapping around.

I have the A1 in zytel and it works fine. It's functional, but I wouldn't consider it "pretty".

You mention fishing...I would go with zytel, not for rust (VG-10 and 420 are pretty stainless), but the leather could get nasty if you get fish guts decaying in there. You could just rinse out the zytel.

I have the Zytel one, looks like shit but functions very well! I like it alot. The leather looks better, i havent tried it yet so wont comment on it either. But if you like zytel sheaths, go for it.

I love the leather sheath. It's secure and comfortable. I think you will like it better both functionally and aesthetically!

Figured I should order all the knives I want now, because I live in NY and online stores that ship to NY are dissapearing fast. And brick and mortar does not exist in my state. Man it sucks to be a knife enthusiast here.

I have the leather, just because I prefer leather sheaths, but for fishing and wet environments, I agree the Zytel would have advantages.

My F2 fishing knife has the zytel sheath.

Hi; where did you get that kydex sheath? Looks just like the thing I need for my F1. I didn't really like the original zytel one either.

I don't believe the guy who made it is in the business anymore but if you google kydex custom sheaths for the F1 you could find a good one. I paid $37 total to get the sheath to my door.
