Normally, I don't post on product forums, but I've had enough bad experiences with companies over the past year that don't stand behind their products/services that I feel compelled to commend Fallkniven. I'm new to the knife scene, so I may not be qualified to comment on the quality of their knives. Having said this, I received my fallkniven f1 two weeks ago and used this for several bushcraft projects at home, and geek that the knife has held up very well. Unfortunately, a button on the sheath dislodged after a few days. I sent an email to fallkniven. Their reply: " Hi, No problem, I´ll send you a new sheath. Best regards Eric".

After dealing with countless companies that don't stand behind their products, it's refreshing to see a company that believes in what they sell.

That is good to hear. I have been thinking about giving one of their knives a try and knowing that they have good customer service is definitely a plus. Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forums and what an excellent first post :)

Fallkniven seem to have an outstanding reputation. Any product can fail and things will always slip through even the most stringent quality assurance procedures; it's very reassuring that they deal with it via warranty service straight away.

I would love to see a full review of the knife, how it performs including photos etc :)

Thanks for posting your review and welcome to the forum. I have had very favorable experiences with Fallkniven knives including the F1 and have found their customer service to be excellent. I would have a hard time picking a favorite but the F1 would certainly be in the mix.

Welcome and congrats on a cool knife.

Here is my F1 being bashed through a hard ass knot in some fatwood:

And look... no chips

Great to see some informative pictures on a truly fantastic knife! If only this had a scandi grind, it would absolutely be my number 1.

The F1 is my favorite fixed blade when I go out camping, or hiking. It's never failed me and I've never held back from using it hard. The handle fits the hand very well and grips, the blade is very strong, not prone to chipping and shaped well for just about anything you may have to do outside.
