Hello my friends,
My name is Özgür.
My new knife arrived today. Here in the forum, I have researched at length and finally got the knife that I have in my heart. It was very exciting. By the way, I have to say that I really like it. My first impressions are that the case looks very good quality and sturdy. The lock mechanism opens quite hard and even if you unlock it, the blade tries not to come out. I like this security system. When I pull the blade out, it has a steel color that creates a talisman effect. The color is not black, but not gray either, very different. Magical!

The handle is made of a material called Thermorun and it hugs the hand. Feeling the steel from the top and the bottom while holding the handle gives you a different confidence. It has a balanced weight as the weight of the knife. It's not a light knife. I think it's used in everything. We can call it a survival knife in all conditions. It gave me that confidence. No doubt, I can dive into the forest with my eyes closed with this knife alone. Elmax as steel yes. I can't specify an experience for now, we'll try and see. Very expensive for the price. That's all for now.
Greetings to all of you from Turkey/İzmir.
With love.

Very nice I have an A1X and these X knives are built really stout. An elmax version should be sweet. Congrats, please let us know how well it works and stands up to the outdoors use.

Thank you very much for your good wishes. I worked in the vineyard with my knife today. I cut the thick vine branches. I hit the logs and cut them off. It's really well balanced in weight. My arm and wrist are not tired. I'm most curious about the wood batoning part. I will test it in the next days. When I came home and cleaned my knife, I noticed that there was not even a bristle scratch on my knife. This surprised me a lot. The tungsten carbide on the steel means seriously hard. In the brochure it stated that it had a hard coating of 82 HRC. I just couldn't make sense of the parallel line I circled in red. I stuck my knife in the ground for the test. I think maybe it was drawn at that moment. It still retains its sharpness.

It sure looks like something scratched the finish on the blade. Maybe another piece of steel or glass maybe in the ground, I'm not sure. I've thought about getting one with that blade finish but seem to recall a utube outdoor survivalist online stating that it will come off through use somewhat.
