I am loving the looks of this knife. Anyone have any info or experiance with one? I would love to know the thickness of it. Do you guys know what 3G steel is?

I used to own a PXL which is a similar knife. It was a very solid knife with exceptional fit and finish, I wouldn't expect this knife to be any different.

It has a laminate blade, VG2 on the outside with SGPS (Super Gold Powder Steel) as the core/cutting edge. Fallkniven calls this 3G.

I have the Fallkniven P in VG10 which is a little bit smaller than that one, and I love it. So far for me VG10 has performed awesome. I can only imagine 3G is that much better considering it is their flagship steel.

Fallkniven knives are worth their price tags IMHO.

I can only speak for the PXL (3G steel). It is one of the best cutting knives in my inventory. I mean, it easily outcuts my other high-end folders like Al-Mar Sere, ZT's and most Spydercos. Performance-wise, it is on the same par with my other fave, the Bradley Alias 1. Aesthetically, the Bradley is no match.

Even though the prices of most Fällknivens have gone up sharply, they are awesome blades and worth the money.

Thanks for the info guys! The steel sounds like a winner, I think Ill save up for this one.

I have a PXL.
It gives CRK's a run for their money.
Outstanding craftsmanship in Fallknivens folders.

I own and use the FH9 and really like the knife. Fit, finish, and overall quality are exceptional.

Styling, and how it feels in your hand, are of course personal choice, but this knife works well for me.

All the other stuff has already been said.

Well, you guys made me pull the trigger early! :grumpy: I can't afford it...... :(but much to my chagrin,(at myself) that rarely stops me. :o I can't wait to get it. :D I paid $165.00 for it on the net. I'll, ofcoarse, post pictures of it when I get it!

I recently discovered this knife as well. I'm looking forward to your thoughts and pics when you get yours. I may have to save for one of my own :)

I found this picture on the net. I shows the reverse side! I like the low riding clip.

One week ago I ordered the knife from the Knife outlet and heard nothing from them. So I called today and they told me they didn't have it. No email no nothing. Suck. :grumpy:

Guess which knife store I won't be ordering from?:D:thumbdn: Way to go KO!
I'll be removing you guys from my bookmarks!

I just got a response, a week late, from a different company, telling me they are out of stock of an item I ordered. Thanks for nuthin.

This practice is very close to bait and switch if you ask me.

Hey Kodiak, there is a section in BF for "loser" stores....

I bought my FH9 shortly before christmas and carried and used it for about 6 weeks.
The clip sucks. It bends easily when you draw the knife from the pocket. I finaly removed it after bending it back 4 times.
The edges of the liners and especially the notch on the back of the blade for locking are extremely sharp. I cut myself on that notch while drawing the knife so I had to sand them down. I also sanded down the finish of the micarta scales, because they were too slipery.
The really good thing about the knife is the blade: very sharp and keeps a good edge.
For that kind of money -it ain`t cheap here in Germany either - you could do better.
