Are any of the thermomolded/rubber handled Fallkniven models built for large hands? I have owned an F1 and it was just a bit too small (too thin, really). I wouldn't mind trying out the S1 though but I'd rather not spend the dough on a woods knife with teensy handle dimensions.

G'day Spooky

The H1 certainly has a more hand filling handle than the F1

BTW, the H1 is on the left of the pic :D

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
Mick

S1 has rather slim handle,H1 or even better A1 are handfull

Wow, that pic speaks volumes.....I always thought the H1 was essentially an F1 with a differant blade shape.

Thanks Mick.

Those are very helpful pics! Thanks guys. That makes the H1 very intriguing. The S1 handle is a disappointment, but that does make the A1 look neat...

Hey Spooky, I got the F1,S1,and A1. I truly love them all , but the S1 is my favorite. The handle is a little on the smaller size, but I like that. To me, it's the best package of versatility and size out of the 3. Sort of a compromise size like the SRK is. If you got big mitts, you would probably prefer the A1 though. It does have some heft to it, but not too bad. Those knives slice like no tomorrow!

:)

Will,
I think we've determined in the past that we have similar tastes in knife handle shapes (i.e. FAT). I've had F1's and H1's, and I think the H1 would suit you just fine. Nice and beefy.

Hi Guys,

This is my first post, hopefully I'm not breaking any rules!

Knives Ship Free are doing custom micarta handles on certain Fallknivens at the moment, so they might be worth a look. (I live in UK and have nothing to do with KSF).

Hope that's of some use.

atb,

John

Late to this party, but here it is...

The blue/black G10 - grips by Bark River
The 2 micarta ones - grips by LoneRider Grips.
The black micarta & thermorun elastomer - grips by fallkniven

For larger hands I recommend custom work.
I agree it can get pricey, but you know how it goes... you get what you pay for.

Some of your youtube vids made me spent some cash...hope this post will have the same effect on you Spooky:D.
Seriously speaking, you owe it to yourself to try a fallkie.

I don't know whether this will be useful to you but here are some pics of Fallkniven handle sizes:

This is why God makes the F1 blade only so you can fashion the handles to fit you.;)

I saw in your YouTube videos that you have Skookums, so I took these pictures for you:
