Update 8/31. Money from the sale of these 3 knives will be donated to relief efforts for victims of hurricane Katrina, through either the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army. If you buy one of these knives, you should let me know which of the two organizations you'd rather I donate your payment to.

OVB Fisk with Amboyna handle. 7-5/8" blade, 12-3/4" overall. Comes in its original zippered case and box. I bought this off an Ebay store and it came with rust on the right side of the blade where the writing is etched. I was assured by the vendor that it hadn't been used and I decided to try to remove the rust instead of sending it back, since I planned on using it someday and cosmetic surface stains wouldn't have bothered me. In removing the surface rust I ended up with rub marks on that side of the blade, as well as some stains. I never got a chance to carry or use it because I ended up with other knives of this size that I've been testing out already, and I don't think I'll get to this one. Because of the blemishes from the surface rust removal this knife is discounted to the price of a user grade. Great way to try out this blade if you're curious about the Fisk design. I've enclosed a closeup photo so you can see the stains and rub marks around the writing.

Price includes shipping to the continental US: $175. Sold

Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread, but whomever purchases the Fisk can likely get the blade re-etched and scotchbrited by Camillus at no charge. I had some scratches on the blade of my Fisk OVB bowie which were caused by some crud in the sheath. Camillus took it and refurbished the blade at no charge and now its like new.

I also don't mean to hijack the thred-- but thought that I would mention that I have a few of those Japanese blades, and they are amazing value for the money. If I didn't have a similar one, I would snatch this up.

...should the OVB go sideways, please contact me. thanks..... >regards<
