Fallkniven knives

You might read more about them in the Wilderness & Survival Skills forum. They are highly respected by outdoorsmen.

Fallkniven makes excellent knives. Great materials and craftmanship. Fit and finish is superb. Their knives come shaving sharp out of the box, and when they get dull, it's very easy to sharpen them.

I don't know if you are looking at fixed or folder from Fallkniven, but the PXL Folder is one of the nicest folders I have handled in a long time. The 3G stell is a real slicer of a steel.:)

- and if you like large blades the Northern Lights series is awsome!

The Fallkniven Thor is similar to a CS San Mai Trailmaster, only better in most every way.

I have the A-1 and P folder so I can only speak to those knives. I use the A1 as backup in the field to my Busse BM. My A1 is VG-10 blade steel, really good all around field knife.

The P also has VG10 blade steel, with 420j2 steel liner with black linen micarta overlay. nice and light, great cutter.

I would recommend both.

Top knives as far as factory knives go. I got about 19 of them!;)

Freakin fantastic knives. Get em before the prices go through the roof. I recommend the s-1, and f-1's

I bought my F1 in Feb 08 off eBay for just under $100US shipped to Canada. I just did a quick check on eBay and they're averaging about $140-$170 Cdn (shipping included) now.

I am going to answer for Jos. That is a F1 black micarta handle factory knife. Fallkniven is currently only making the white and maroon handled micarta handles. I kick my self for not buying several of these when they were making them. I cant figure out why they would stop making such a good looking knife. This knife combo seems to be a favorite making this knife very desirable.

Thanks TDEK. I can see why they are popular. That is to bad they aren't doing the black anymore.

Jam up knives!! Don't hesitate to pick one or three up. You won't be disappointed. The only thing I have consitently heard about them is that if you have extremely large mitts, you might find the handle a bit small. I have average hands and they fit me fine.

Joe, Whats the one in the left column, sixth one up from the bottom ?
I like it

Correct TDECK. And I agree, the black micarta looks better than the white or marroon.

Kind regards,

Jos

They make great knives - I have only an A1 and F1 but can't fault them for strength and quality. Only 'druther is the aesthetics of the rubber handles - but that's all my budget would run to at the time or I'd have gotten micarta

I don't own very many fixed blades but half the ones I do own are Fallknivens. I haven't bought a fixed blade in 10 years that wan't a Fallkniven. I know of nothing better.
