Fallkniven leather sheaths

I'm close to dropping the hammer on an S1. I've read complaints about the Zytel sheaths. The S1 is also available with a leather sheath.

Are the Fallkniven leather sheaths any good, or would I be better off sticking with the Zytel?

The leather on my two sheaths are really good. I have an H1, and a WM1. Both sheaths are made with leather almost 1/8 of an inch thick. My take is what you want from it. If you want a sheath that doesn't gunk up much, or is easy to clean. Take the zytel. If you want a more traditional-looking, and as such, sheeple friendly, take the leather.
I have one of their zytel sheaths for a WM1 aswell, and from what i can gather, it's pretty good too.
I'm guessing it's more up to taste, than anything else.

I bought an S1 with leather sheath from Knife Supply. The sheath is pretty good for a production sheath. Dangler type. I have never seen a Falkniven Zytel sheath so can't comment of those. I just prefer a leather sheath.

I've got a couple of Fallkniven leather sheaths. One for my A2 and one (I think it's from an NL4) that I use on my custom handled F1. Both are very high quality. They aren't like a good custom sheath but they are definitely up there. I don't have any of the zytel sheaths so I can't comment on them but if you generally lean toward leather I don't think you'll be disappointed buy what Fallkniven offers.

I love the leather flap sheath that comes with the F1. It has a flap which more sheaths should have. The belt loop is huge so it fits every size belt I have ever tried. It is also pretty very well made and has proven to be quite durable.

I have leather with my F1 and H1. The F1 is a fold-over with a snap, and nicely made. The H2 is a friction fit with a kydex insert for the blade, and a dangler to boot. I like them both, the dangler a little bit more.

I have a leather dangler sheath for my H1 & a leather fold over sheath for my TK2.

Both are quality sheaths

I have no experience with the Zytel sheaths so I can't comment on them.

Kind regards
Mick
