Fallkniven Northern Lights, looking for advice

I'm debating if I should buy or not the smallest knife in the Fallkniven Northern Lights series. I'm very fond of how these knives look but I've never had one in my hands nor I know someone who has one. At about 240 USD I would like to know more about them before making my move. Anybody out there knows them?
Thanks
Fausto

I got a chance to use an NL1 and NL2 yesterday, and they were very impressive knives! We were slicing into corrigated plastic, cardboard, and even a guitar without much trouble. The VG10 edge took a small nick from the 1/4" wide piece of steel we discovered in the guitar neck, but it kept cutting!

Very nice knives! (even at that price)

It's called a truss rod... It wasn't a nice guitar, I hope?:(

It was a POS that looked like it came from the Mexico/US border, plus it had been sitting out for the past 3 years. Don't feel bad. ;)

Thanks for info, I really like the NL knives and I wanted to know if their are worth the money or overpriced, after all one can get some nice custom blades in that money range.

I have the Thor Northern light bowie, and i am very pleased with it. It is the best bowie i ever had. High priceses on the Northern Light series?-Yes,but overpriced?-No. Look at for example Cold Steels laminated stainless Trail Master bowie(San Mai3)and compare the priceses.

Eaven though the Cold Steel bowie is made of softer and cheaper laminated AUS-8 steel(San Mai 3),compared to the Fallkniven NL1 that is made of harder and more expencive laminated VG-10 steel, the prices are remarkable similar. At discount sales the Cold Steel Stainless san mai 3 bowie goes for 249$,while the Fallkniven Thor bowie goes for 279$.

It is the finest and best bowie knife that i ever owned. You can probably have a finer hand made bowie knife than the NL1 Thor, but not at the same price! I would say that you will not get disappointed buying any of the Northern Light series knives. The smallest one,the NL4 is not a chopping knife due to its size, but it would for sure be a fine hunting and allround knife.
