I would really appreciate any feedback from owners of this folder. Am especially wanting to know about the lockup and how solid the folder is. Thanks!

I've been using the Fallkniven P folder as a dress or gentlemans knife for a few months.Steven Dick, editor of Tactical Knives magazine, gave a very complimentary review of the knife a few issues ago, describing the use of the folder to field dress a Blacktail deer. The 3 1/8" drop point blade slices extremely well and the VG10 steel will definitely hold an edge.As expected from Fallkniven, the knife is of a high quality, and the black micarta scales give it a classy appearance along with the stylish shape of the handles.
The blade opens with a glassy smoothness, and locks up reasonably tight.Though the liner lock is not especially thick,I've had no problems, and the knife has even been used to prune a few fruit trees for a neighbor. This is not a fragile, delicate knife. It is very well made, quite stylish, and at 2.6 oz.,light enough to carry easily as a "pocket knife".It will remain my very capable gentlemans folder for a long time to come.

I didn't read the TK article but I back up John on the rest. My knife locks up very well. I carry mine in the belt case only because I have too much in my pockets already.

There is no noticeable play in my Fallkniven P until extreme pressure is used, and even then there is no slippage of the liner lock, which technically is a modified frame-lock.If you are looking for a stylish, high quality gentlemans folder which is capable of some serious cutting, you will not be disappointed.Note-the P model does not have a clip,so must be carried as a traditional pocket knife,or in the cordura sheath which is provided, which I have never used ,as it seems out of place for this type of folder.

Mine deserves the highest opinion – tight lockup, classy look, just right size, very solid execution quality.
My only complaint is this Cordura sheath. I may be wrong but Cordura associates me mostly with tactical gear, not with gentleman’s accessories. I would like to see it coming with elegant black leather sheath with molded Fallkniven logo.

I agree that the cordura sheath is a little "Tatical" for such a nice knife. But if Peter were to use a nicer leather one it might add too much to the bottom line price of the knife.

Most people will probably put the sheath in a drawer and carry the knife in their pocket.

I have had the P1 for a while now.
My reason for buying it was I wanted a little more rugged gentlemans knife.
It is packing a very nice executed drop point blade that looks real classy.
Like all Fallkniven blades it cuts like crazy out of the box.
My small complaint is the handle comfort for a little harder work. The construction and lockup is sound and strong and for gentleman / light EDC it is o.k.
For heavier workouts the handle gives me a little too slippery and uncomfortable grip, for my big hands.
All hands are different and grip comfort is more of a personal thing maybe.

Thanks guys for all the information! I'm going to purchase one, that information was exactly what I was looking for.
Man, I love this forum!

I would agree that it is a fine knife, but it is frighteningly similar to William Henry's Evolution series. Personally, I would take the William Henry over the Fallkniven.
