Fallkniven Police Rescue Knife

I'm sure it's the Takefu Cobalt Steel used in it's laminated knife blade that drives the price that high.

Personally, I'd not spring for one, but I would like to try the steel on a more conventional knife.

The steel is good, as all FK steels!

I have it in the Kolt knife and GP folder.

I would say it's a high-end steel, but not as good as the SGPS steel in the 3G laminate.

I don't like the thermorun handle on the Kolt and replaced it with a stag taper.
This made the knife a top choice, for my kind of use.

It looks much more like a tactical blade. I would be a little nervous cutting some one out of a seatbeld to rescue them with that stabby blade. Also, if you are in VA (IE the USA), there are companies here that can offer you more for your money. If it is a true rescue blade you want, look at the Benchmade 915 Triage. Nice non stabby blade and a very usable strap cutter hook. If you need a fixed blade, go with an Esee 3/4 or BRKT bravo 1 and add in a Benchmade rescue hook. Much better designs for rescue work. Better companies with better warranties. Much better options.
