I do have a TK-1 and I'm modifying it to reduce the weight and improve the balance .I want to reduce the weight to that of the TK-2 which is fine.The steel is a real super steel .3G is similar in chemistry and performance to S30V. My S-1 has VG-10 as the core and as nice a steel as that is the 3G is a step way above that....Good value in the TK-2 !!
