I read really excited thread on knifeforums about this knife (copy-paste does not work now for some reason - I can not paste link here).
It says that it is 62HRC (which is better then 57-59 for CPM S30V), but my friend sad that he was not able to scratch gass using this SGPS steel blade (same for CPM S30V) which indicates that it is not 62 HRC. Did anybody able to do this (scratch glass) with this knife?
(I am waiting for mine - can not check it myself)

Thanks, Vassili.

I don`t know what type of glass your friend is trying to scratch but just like steel, glass comes in a variety of hardnesses. In many cases, most hardened knife steels will NOT exceed the hardness of such mediums as window glass and tempered glass. Hope this helps.

It was major amusment on Russian Blade forum to scratch bottle with top side of the blade or with tip. Buck Strider ans BM710HS make good deep solid scratches because of hardness 59-61 and 60-62.
Majority of steels in production knives really does not scratch glasses, this is what everybody found.
So if Fallkniven U2 is over 62 - it suppose to scratch glass. It was vodka bottle glass.

Thansk, Vassili.
