I'm looking at the Fallkniven folders, and some sites list the weight of the zytel TK4 as the same weight as the metal handled knives. Is this right, or are they just cut/paste basic data for all the models? I'm undecided between U2, U1, and Tre Kronor. For U1 owners, how stiff is the backspring on yours? Also, do the cordura pouches use velcro or snaps? Thanks.

I have and use a couple U2 knives and the handle is solid Zytel, no metal liners. These are tough little knives that are lightweight and don't disappoint in performance.

I have never handled aTK4 but I believe they are also 100% zytel handles.

Check the Fallkniven site for accurate data on all their knives http://www.fallkniven.com/en/shop/category/20/folding-knives/lock-back

TK4 is listed as 50g and TK3 is listed as 100g.

Also don't have any hands on with the U1, but I do have a P series folder with a cordura pouch that looks pretty much the same as the one that comes with the U1. It uses velcro for the fastener.

I have a TK4 and U2. The pouch uses velcro and the TK4 is half the weight of the TK3 or U1.
I like my TK4 - good knife. There are no metal liners on the U2 or TK4.

The back spring on my U1 is pretty loose compered to a normal sak (On mine anyway) So much that I did not like it for a long time.
After some time I got use to it and now I really like my U1.
