Ok, I have heard that the Fallkniven A2 will chip on occasion if it comes in contact with the ground or a knot and I also heard that once you get passed the factory edge you will get to more durable steel because of the heat treat on the thinnest part of the edge gets brittle but once you have sharpened past that its much better. So my question is,(and i hope its not a stupid one)Should I just go ahead and sharpen off the factory edge and get to the stronger steel under before i use it or just wait till i get a mini chip before i sharpen it. Seems to me that it would just be better to do a little preemptive sharpening so I have a better chance of not getting any chips and have a stronger edge to begin with . I also heard that a very high polish helps against chipping and a slightly more obtuse angle can help. Any advice would be apreciated, and don't hesatate to let me know I am not making any sence. Thank you all.
