Here's a review of the WM1. It's the second review I've done and I have to get outside and do some real work with a knife next time. This one just tells a bit about the knife and I try to be accurate. This is the only YouTube video I can find on the WM1 that is in English. I'm going to use a tripod and better lighting for the next one I do indoors. Not sure if a new Registered member can post a video, but I couldn't find a prohibition against it in the FAQs.

Cool. Thanks for the review. Always had my eye on those but never picked one up thanks to the fixed blades around California.

I hunt on the ground with a recurve bow and was too picky this year. As a result, I haven't gotten a deer to test out the knife on. If I get one, I'll do a better review.

I don't see how you could go wrong. It's a great knife but pricey. I gave my nephews Mora Clippers as their first fixed blades. Clippers are light weight and hold a razor edge well. I gave them the $10 stainless Clippers but I primarily use the carbon model. I'd suggest them as great first knives but would go to a WM1 or F1 when they gain experience. Both could last a lifetime. The only potential problem with the WM1 is the small grip. It fits my small hands perfectly but your son might want something larger if he's a big kid or growing fast. The F1 would then be a better choice in a Fallkniven.
