So wandered out to Falls Creek Falls, hadn't been there in years...

This little suspension bridge went in several years ago:

Great trail for walking and thinking...!

Years ago, before this bridge as put in this drainage made for some frisky crossings!

Past some cliffs along the Falls Creek Ravine:

... the falls come into view, this is the lower of three tiers:

Middle tier (can barely see the bottom of the top tier):

Obligatory knife porn: Lets call this one "The Knives of Falls Creek Falls" - Yes? No? Maybe...?

Yours truly:

Some gratuitous knife-throwing on the hike out:

Nice place. I can never get enough of water shots. Love that middle tier picture. Just glorious!

2 things...no 3 things. #1 Beautiful area!! Serenity in motion. Uh..#2 Its a good thing you did'nt fall in the water..with all that steel you'd sink like a rock! :)...#3 Please dont ever throw anything sharp at me! LOL! Great pics man..Thanks for sharing with us.

Falls Creek is really a beautiful park. I go there often for picnics and day hikes. This is the one in Tennessee.

Nice. Thought it was the Fall Creek Falls here in TN at first. I like yours better. Man, I can't wait till I retire out west. I'm dying to see that country.

Awesome pics, brings back a lot of memories. I used t go there two or three times a year, but it has been a couple of years since i went. It's only a couple of hours away, I think I'll have to head that way this summer.

Love it. I'll be up there in 2 weeks. Key at FCF is to go off the trails. Tons of people up there this time of year.

I'm in Nashville...shoot me a pm if you ever want some company.

Those falls are in Washington, guys. Ours here in TN, are nice, but nowhere near as spectacular as those. Ours have a cave behind them, too. If you guys want to hit up the falls in TN, we oughta get together on that. Us east TN guys oughta have a get together anyways.

What? Fall Creek Falls is in Alabama. Thought everybody knew that:confused:

Ok, so ours isn't nearly as impressive as Washington's, either.

Thanks for the cool pics. I would definitely need adult supervision in places like that!

So we're doing another "Great NW Mischief" this August (the weekend of the 23rd), sort of a knife-centric camp out entirely lacking adult supervision...
"Mischief Henge" is just a few forest mile from the Trail Head; just saying...

I had already posted my comment about Falls Creek State Park in Tennessee and then looked at the pictures again... that is not Tennessee. Our park is very nice. Really nice actually. But your Falls Creek is pretty dang cool. I think it's about time for a spring run to Falls Creek SP in TN. We're had enough rain and the water should be quite nice. Been there a couple times when the water was just down right scary.

I do believe I'm going to that. Is this the 6th annual or 7th? :)

Went back to Falls Creek Falls today, did the same lower trail and got this shot of the top tier of the falls:

Then took the cut trail to the upper trail, and on to the top of the falls.
The most used goat-trail down to the edge of the precipice still had snow, so a 50' hasty rappel with tubular webbing by-pasted the slippery bits.

Here's where gravity really takes over!

The initial drop is about 60', the next is about a 90' drop, then another 60' or so into the plunge-pool...

Here's looking out over the Falls Creek drainage:

What a spectacular chunk of real estate...!!

Yes; the trail-run back durn near killed me dead; Gak.
