Uncle Bill:

Get over it!!!

Been there, done that (had to, gum problems), it isn't the same.

No matter what you have to go through to keep your original choppers, DO IT!

About two years ago I had to go the 'falsie' route. I can't wear them to eat or drink (this is a little awkward in a restaurant); the only functions they serve is to allow me to smile in public and to have something handy to throw at the cat when he's mugging the furniture.

If you have any choice in the matter, go for it.

Thanks for advice, Jim. I know you're right but I'm so sick and tired of fighting so much to save what I've got that it gets me down at times.

When I came down with kidney problems in Nepal 20 years ago I went downhill fast -- set a record of losing 20 pounds in 20 days. Got very rundown and weak -- gums suffered along with everything else and that was the beginning of the end. After they fattened me up enough to butcher they did the kidney surgery, then after I got recovered enough from that did peridontal surgery but teeth still started going one by one.

I've got 15 real ones left and there's probably enough good ones that will hang in long enough to let me check out with partials -- which I despise.
