Does this look familiar to any of you Schradite fixie fans? I saw it by accident very recently.

Cal, that's very bizarre, can't say as I've ever seen anything like it.

Oh sure, but that Rem. blade just seems a bit weird in there, like it doesn't really fit. I wonder if Camillus had anything to do with that one.

was just wondering the little duck head on the handle, does anyone have an extra one. i have a whole for it. :).

I was thinking it might be a Camillus contract knife, since Camillus made a those bullet knives. The fact this one has never surfaced before is lends itself to question. Anyone see that blade on another Remington or Camillus? What about the blade makes it not fit Eric? Physical mismatch or just does not look proper? Not Schrade steel maybe? It is for sure a Schrade Staglon handle.

Good luck on your duck shield Delmas. Hopefully someone has a hole bunch of extra ones laying around. :)

I have no idea what the pedigree of the Remington might be but the handle sure does look like a 144UH or 13DU.

Are the little round spots on the blade for striking a flint on? That's my best guess.

Guess two: maybe they are so you can choke up your grip on the blade for fine work and they are there to provide some "grip" for a finger and thumb on the otherwise slippery blade steel?

Hal, I should have said the blade doesn't fit style-wise. See how the back of Cal's DU knife has a sweeping curve that goes unbroken from the butt to the tip of the blade? That's how the knife was designed. The Rem. blade seems more straight, giving it the appearance of almost being upswept. Doesn't really match the handle as well. Seems like it would have looked better in a more traditional straight handle with a guard.

Eric, I didn't think so at first glance, but once I saw the Schrade, I agree 100%.
