Here are some pics of a sowbelly I just finished. A collector wanted it fancy, with all the bells and whistles.

Fileworked springs to bounce the light around.

The pearl has a lot of color, it's just hard to show it in a pic.

Richard,

First let me say, WOW, then, what a nice piece of work all the way around. I have checkered many firearm stocks in the past and that is a discipline all in itself. To combine the skills necessary to put a five blade slipjoint together and working correctly and then to embellish it with English style flat top checkering is over the top.

Ken

PS, Thanks for thinking of me with the closed shot showing the nesting!

Yowza! A fancy sowbelly, indeed. What a fantastic piece! I like the filework on the inside of the liners, instead of on the outside, where you usually see it. The outside looks nice and clean- filework outside might make the overall package look fussy. The blades nest beautifully, it's just a lovely, elegant knife all around. :thumbup:

You know, Richard, you just might have a future in this business!!! :eek:

Stunning knife! :thumbup::cool:

Just incredible. Thanks for posting it Richard.

Nice and compact for three springs, Richard. And the embellishment is wonderfully executed! Shades of Sheffield, in the good old days!

Gotta say (from having at least 1/2 a gaggle of Richard's knives) he is better than excellent even in the places where nobody looks or sees.

That is a gorgeous knife. The back looks so clean.

Edited to add: Everything on it looks clean:)

I'm sure that I can't even begin to imagine the skill, patience, technical know-how, and artistry that went into making this beautiful knife. Awesome ..... totally awesome!!! :thumbup:

stunning, gorgeous, amazing, awesome, incredible, fantastic! Basically restating what everyone already said.

WOW amazing! all blade styles in one knife
clip and drop point are incredible! keep going
