Does it matter if the blade is modified or should it be stock?
I don't want the prize, but could probably kick up some pretty kick ass pics of my Machax.
 
Good question. I think it should probably have the same basic shape as the original (not drastically re-ground). Different scales, stripped, etc. shouldn't matter.
 
So will this be okay? It still has the same profile, but I convexed it.

Edit: I should probably add that I turn 18 in February, it's not like I have another year or more. And if you really wanted to I wouldn't mind you playing with it.

Convexing an edge doesn't matter.

And nope, I'm not going to hold the knife for four months. :D
If you win and can get a parent to contact me via certified letter, I can send it to him/her.
Of course, I'll need paternity/maternity tests, hair samples, a notarized deposition, and a family photograph and documented genealogy to prove the relationship. I'll also need psychological profiles of any family pets.
Seriously, part of the idea of these contests is to get some knives into the hands of members well before they come out in full production mode.
 
Durn. My 2 is pretty different from stock these days. At least I still got a 4 I can take pics of. Hmm... What to do, what to do.
 
I figured that was the answer, but I wanted to make sure before I just dropped all hope.
