I browse, and buy, and sell, on ebay. I found a keeper this time. It's a 1995 Executive 521 VIP, with thick elephant ivory scales attached, and incredible detailed scrimshaw by someone with the initials "JC". Blade was dirty, but never sharpened. Just had to share some pics, before it goes in a display.:D

 ...Beautiful knife Scott and congrats on the fantastic score. Just what kind of tools might have been used to create such detail in the scrimshaw?...I'm thinking small exacto knives or "pithing needles"...( you'd have to have taken biology in the 50's or 60's to know what they are )...or anything fine and sharp enough to "scratch"...I'm guessing about that... but I do know for sure that you have a wonderful example of scrimshaw and a fine knife there...:)

yes nice looking scratching!!! as some one that scratches my self -> i will say it is good quality! adn even a bit better then i do my self:rolleyes: ,,, i used to be that good but eyes have gone south some as has my gut..:p
been thinking of doing some more ... could you send me some 2 3 meg images of that scratching for my study image file?
of course i assume that as the owner of it that if you send me some i have privlage to let them have some influnce on my scratching ....;)
