In a recent post, I mentioned that my new/used Sebenza had everything except the Allen wrench that usually accompanies Chris Reeve Knives.
Anne Reeve communicated with me, I believe by e-mail, and said she'd send me a wrench. It arrived today. I have a difficult time grasping that kind of service, to provide someone who is not entitled to something that object.
The mind-blowing part tho, is the invoice which accompanied the wrench. It was complete, describing part #, etc. The price was listed as $0.00. Then, in ink, someone had written, "Thank you," on the invoice.
I am stunned. No merchant has ever sent me anything for free and thanked me for being able to give it to me, before. I imagine I'm going to have to wait quite awhile to see something like that again.
One of the things that got me interested in Spyderco products is Sal Glesser's participation in the forum here and the one at the company. He truly listens to and cares about the customers he encounters there.
Well, have seen Anne Reeve's name several times on the few visits I've made to this forum. I can't help but feel strongly about the company and their products when such an effort is made to make happy customers.
A maker whom I respect enormously recently wrote that he counts Chris Reeve a good friend, and described him as a truly honest man.
So, that's it. While I may not join the cheerleading section yet, I'll not be making any more negative comments about my Sebenza or Chris Reeve Knives! They're great!
