Let's say I decide to open up a knife shop which also has mail order, on-line business as well as showroom.

The location: North Europe

The object: To offer a spectrum of world knives, folding&fixed from many countries

Suggestions for stock? Let's forget practical probs like customs officers, local sheeple protestors etc. But there have to be some limitations due to space and no custom knives costing thousands, you buy those from a maker anyway.

FINLAND Marttiini fixed and folder(local product,popular)

FRANCE Opinel, classic must have, anything else?

GERMANY Böker, anything else?

ENGLAND Taylor Eye Witness. Do they make anything in Sheffield now?

JAPAN Mcusta of course!

CHINA Vast choice but some mid price suggestions for interest please

SPAIN Joker, others?

ITALY ??? no vastly expensive choices please

SWEDEN Fälkniven

RUSSIA Kizlyar fixed and folder (Biker2 in damascus top!)

U.S.A Vast choice and controversial but I suggest Buck (folders) Case (folders) Bark River fixed in various sizes. Spyderco as the modern Opinel from the US! RAT fixed. Others?

Be nice to have something from Africa, any ideas and Latin America?:thumbup:

It's a fantasy idea but hasn't everybody dreamed of their own knife paradise? Let's have some more additions and why. Thanks!

Seems I posted this in an incorrect forum. Sorry readers and moderator. This is what comes from late night sittings....seems a bit harsh to punish me until May though!
