Imagine this (however unlikely),
You're sitting at home one sunday, watching the t.v., when the phone rings. You pick it up to hear either Mick strider or Duane dywer's voice.
"We've got a problem at Strider. We've run out of ideas and we need a new design, and quick. What can you come up with?"

So there is the situation. Strider need you design a new knife, that is in keeping with the price of other Striders, and follows their line as closely as possible (whilst being different to all other models). What would you do?:D :)

(it doesn't have to be too serious, it's only a bit of fun after all, but try to keep it as realistic possible):D

Well, first I'd suggest them to restart their prodution of hollow ground MT & MT-L. Think they look the best in hollow grind. And put the AIRWING in their EB series.

Then, maybe a short strider sword. You know, double grip and tiger stirpes and kydex-sling...That'll be wicked and badass!

I'd like to see Strider become the official supplier of edged weapons for Blade (Wesley Snipes). With that in mind, I'd like to see his long sword replaced, and get a matching short sword.

ok, heres mine,
SLCC style handle
1/8" thick 4" Talonite blade
blunt tip rescue style blade with a slight recurve
kydex teklocked sheath

That's so weird. I was thinking about my "ideal" strider blade on the bus just a few hours ago.

I want to see an AR/GB w/ a 3 inch blade. Not that I'm into small, it's just so I can carry one legitimately. And I want to see it with an axis-lock. I think that'd be about it.

Strider balisong

Strider auto out the front like the MT Ultratech DE

Auto GB/AR

Multitool

I'm not too familiar with all the blades but one built to the specs of the USMC KBAR would be awesome.

I sent Strider a drawing of a tanto HT that I felt motivated to draw. Felt good to start drawing again. The drawing was really crappy, and I doubt they liked it, but when I get motivated I just draw. I have done a couple of Strider style knife drawings, and a couple came out preatty good. Not very original designs, but stuff I would like. Its good to be drawing again, I just did a portraite of my daughter that came out good (I really miss her since my wife left me). I guess drawing helps me express myself. I'm not really good with words (as you can tell). It would be cool to get a call from the shop saying they need your help though:D

I don't like the topic heading,
"fantasy strider league."

Sounds kinda fruity.

How about just 'Strider league.'

Wouldn't want any more references to Prisco's gay ax comment, now would we? :) :) :)

Seems many pals are into autos. I have never handled an auto.
So what is so cool about it? Why it has to be auto? Want to learn
more.

cheers.

MIDGET: Fantasy strider league comes from somthing we have ( you may have something similar) called fantasy football league where at the start of the season you pck a "fantasy" team made up of any players in the league you want. It's run in a national newspaper and the person who has the most points at the end of the league wins something like £75,000!!!:)

Eric Lew... AUTO's for some reason I have yet to truly understand are very popular here in the US... It might have to do with all the old movies where a badguy would pull out a switch blade and go in to the frey. I think they are also favored because they can be opened with one hand and closed with one hand if you are very good with the knife. That being said I can open and close my Strider single hand faster then most can open an auto; but hey practice makes perfect... or is that perfect practice.... Oh well more from the spout then needed I guess good luck on the Auto SnG...

My Strider knife of choice is still on order and has been for quite some time so I will keep hoping for that one.

Hi Brandon, what I'm thinking is since I can swing open a folder in half a second, with one hand ofcourse, and close it with one hand on my thigh, I don't have to spend more cash to get an auto. Besides, I'm afraid that the more complex it is, the more chances it has to go wrong. But this doesn't mean I don't think it looks cool, I do. If I receive an auto as a present, I'd be very happy. :D

question: if I put an auto in my pocket, will it open it by accident ifself? That is my concern.

Thanx a lot!

Eric: Most autos that I know of have locking mechs that keep them from opening at random moments again more things to do while I just pull out the Strider and flick the wrist 'pop, snap, click' big Strider deployed.hehehe
