Tonight was the first time I've really been able to read the FAQ. Howard, you did one hell of a job. Thanks.

Howard is the repository for my random thoughts and bits of information as they come in. From this site some type of reference book will hopefully be produced.
It's a hell of a lot of work and I am deeply appreciative.

I hope a book does come of it. The proceeds will go to some worthy cause in Nepal so I'm told and that is also the only way I'd give my blessing to use the info pegged as supplied by me.

Khukuri FAQ

John,

That's a great collection you have. I'm extremely envious! How did you gather such a fine collection?

Thanks for the compliment on the collection Ben.
Besides collecting khukuris I also spend quite a bit of time tracking down information and sources. There is a lot more misinformation that has to be cut through than you can imagine.
I have been collecting for a while and with each new khukuri I see or buy I learn something which I am glad to pass along.
One of the biggest abusers of what the khukuri is all about are the sellers on ebay. Headhunters, ceremonial swords, 'ancient' knives: it's pathetic.
As to selling old knives I am thinking about cleaning out some duplicates and less important knives. I will be posting a general notice on the forum for anyone to email me directly and I can pass along what is for sale.
