Farid - Emerson copy...?

I too once posted about the similarity of the Farid folder to a CQC6.

Farid was that this years Blade Show with a table full of folders. I stopped by and checked them out. These things are huge. By this I mean thick! Unbelievably thick. I'm guessing an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half . . plus the clip. "Chunky" is an understatement, these things are fat. I don't know who could comfortably carry the damn thing.

For two of the three days the table was full (I don't think he sold a knife), then on the third day most of them disappeared. My guess was that a dealer or two snapped them up and were going to play on their "Emerson-ness".

Before you buy, check their return policy.

Just my experience and opinion

By the way. If you in the market for an "Emerson like" folder, check out the same page number 31910. Johnny Stout makes nice knives.

We recently had a shooting show here at Bisley in the UK, and one of the stalls had some of the Farid knives.

To say they were thick are an understatement, the one I saw was also a close copy of a CQC6 but the workmanship didn't come close. There were all sorts of tool marks I could see on the blade and handle.

Then again, maybe after carrying Emersons for so long, maybe I'm spoilt.
