farmer Cuts Off Own Arm in Kershaw County

I heard about that yesterday, but the guy didn't even have the class to use a Kershaw knife (in friggin' Kershaw county, no less!!!).:D

Wasn't making fun of the farmer.... it's a tragedy. Then I got to thinking... if I could have 1 Kershaw folder with me when my arm got in a piece of heavy farm equipment (on fire, no less), which knife would that be?????

Wasn't making fun of the farmer.... it's a trajedy.
I wasn't trying to make fun of the guy, I was just playing around with the Kershaw knife/Kershaw county thing. Of course it's tragic, and I wish the gentleman well. I'm sorry if my post was offensive. That wasn't my intent. :o

For surgical precision i'd choose my leek...........that super thin blade is like a scapel............

.............when i got to bone and had to separate at a joint,......

..........i'll choose,,.....well,.....my ZT 0200 of course. (Although with bone involved maybe the partially serrated ZT 0200ST would be a better choice!)

oh no... you misunderstood me. No offense taken. According to Offsetlover, this thread might be doomed to W&C. I've never actually been in there. I thought I made this Kershaw enough:cool:

Thanks. After reading joejeweler's reply, and then re-reading yours, I kinda figured out where you were going with it. I just misread you at first. Thanks again for the clarification though. :)

My thoughts exactly! The ZT 0200ST would have NO problem taking that arm off, bone & all...But if cutting at the elbow joint, I'm pretty sure that the plain-edged ZT 0200 could also handle it with no problem, since no bone would have to be cut...Just the tendons, muscle, and skin.

Mr Parker(the farmer) seems to have managed the situation pretty well, and will hopefully forgive us in finding a little humor in the human condition.
