Good end to a long week! I got home there was a 12 Pack of Long Trail Ale (Vermont) purchased by my amazing wife and a 2 foot long mailer containing a Farmer Dog Leg Parang... Conversation as follows:

Wife (Proper British Accent): "What is in the box? Is that another knife from Koyote?"

Me (redneck drawl): "Ummm, no Sweetie, that's a Farmer blade that I ordered a while back (well at least a week ago), Don't ya remember?"

Wife: "No, I didn't... Would you like a beer?"

Me: "I'd love a beer, thank you! Would like something drink too?"

Wife: "Yes, red wine please... Say, that is a very big knife..."

Me: "Well, it's a big town...."

21.5" of hand-forged 1095 goodness....

Nice Parang! That's gonna be a hard one for her not to notice. I can hear my late wife now, "Is that another gun"? No, dear, I just got some work done on it. :o

I'm glad that I am not alone in "sneaking" new things into the house.

I promise you that you are not alone in that....

Horn Dog - Yep, we are all blessed to have, or have had women that tolerate our condition....... Can't wait to get out and bang that parang around:thumbup:

You guys have it made, just guns and knives, throw in paintball and feel my pain.

I married a saint, she has to be, to put up with this 43 year old kid. :o Chris

BTW: Nice looking chopper!

Last night I watched a History Channel program of fliers shot down over Borneo in WWII. They were taken in and protected from the Japs by the Dyaks. They revived their head hunting practices during the war. Interesting views of parang use during the war and in re-enactments.

She's a definately a keeper!!! Both of them:thumbup:

That's right Bro:thumbup:

Mete - I missed that. I gotta tell you, there is something about Goloks and Parangs that really appeals to me...

That is huge Mneedham. Love to read your report in how it chops. Lets wait until after the beer and its affects are done though. You wouldn't want to end up looking like me :D

I love the fish head-like handle cap. Well thats what it reminds me off. Gives the blades some distinctiveness.

Good advice, beer and Farmer blades are a hectic combo for sure... I'll post some chopping pics tomorrow.

Dude, thats badass!!!!!!!!

Nice score brother.

Great wife you got there.

Jake - Thanks Bro... Great wife and kids, great blades, and cold beer. It's a good day to be on this side of the lawn....

You know, I don't give a hoot what kind of language they may have used on that show. Derogatory slang is DEROGATORY. Me calling you out on that doesn't mean I'm overly sensitive. It means I don't put up with language that I wouldn't use around my kids or in church. SO, mete, I'll thank you to moderate your language.

Dude, you just need to start a related business like I did, then you have no problems bringing boxes of crap into the house. I just say everything is inventory or samples. :D

You should see my pile of flashlight "samples." It's starting to overwhelm our kitchen.

Hmmmm. That is a pretty strong concept, but I'll have to work out a defense as to why the business never turns a profit;).

that would be fun to play with.

David's knife always feel so light and balanced, they are pure pleasure to wield.....

Excellent. Nice job with the missus as well. Gotta warn you though, eventually they catch on. :o
