Farmer vs Jungle Kukri

In the market for a backpacking blade that will replace a knife and hatchet with a lighter/less bulky alternative I have narrowed down my choice to the following. Please provide feedback and help me choose. Other suggestions welcome too:

I have a 15" BDC from HI that I'm really liking. I haven't given it a full run through yet(being winter and all) but it splits kindling well and makes really nice fuzz sticks.
 
I see. For camping I'm looking for something that is packable (8-10 inch blade), has a wood handle and a preferably unfinished blade, hence my original post about the jungle/farmer types.
 
The model I referenced has a 12 inch blade give or take + at that price range what does it matter if it's polished or not. Scuff it with a scotch brite pad and take off the finish or you can cold blue the blade (I've done 2 this way) to keep it from rusting.
 
Hi Attila , I own both KHHI and HI Kukri , they are both great quality in their own respect , however the customer service from Auntie is hands down the best . Having these item ship from Reno , Nevada ( HI base of operations ) is a big plus , while
KHHI ships from Nepal . . . chances of having US Customs hold your piece , very likely , happened to me and HI apparently .
I see your choices from the pictures attached , HI does offer Villager models if you don't like the shine , I was apprehensive
at first and got the villager model Pen Knife . . . that thing ROCKS , great camp knife , how do I know , put it through its paces and it handled everything I threw at it . But , when I got my M43 in its all Polished goodness my face was like this :D for hours . If anything else , the support you get from the guys at this forum . . . well , lets just say I check in every day , for the DOTD .

H.I. makes many villager models, almost anything can be special ordered in villager style.
H.I. doesnt list them on their site, but you can find villager models by watching for the DOTD's in the forum.
