This is a "new" pattern to me, although I understand it is an old traditional pattern that has been around for ages. It is just that these are the first ones I built on this pattern. 3 and 7/8 inch closed, stainless trim, bleached bone scales and Magnacut blades and springs. I followed my own head a little - the pictures I'd seen of originals had the main blade the same thickness as the spring, with the blade ground away to one side to make space for the secondary, that was of thinner stock and had a spacer between the tang and liner to position it correctly. I simply kept both blades the same thickness as the spring and machined both away to the respective sides to allow them to pass one another. Let me know what you think...
