I made my 2003 Halloween costume out of duct tape--a cape, scepter, and crown with horns, all made out of duct tape.
This last summer in Yosemite I watched a poor climber make his haul bag entirely out of duct tape, and then proceed to use for a climbing Washington column.

I made a duct tape wallet (OD green) when I was in Saudi Arabia. I had ripped my other wallet and I needed something. I used thin cardboard as a backer (from a legal pad) and made a nice single fold, single separator wallet. It lasted for about 10 months before I scrapped it.
When I was laying my brick patio, I learned quickly about duct-taping gloves. That one pair of leather gloves is still useful today because of duct tape.
