I'm looking for a flipper knife, that is affordable, and fast! I have been looking at kershaw chill, skyline, and thats about it. Any thoughts?

The skyline is nice, but the chill is only $20. The buck vantage might be an option as well. I was also surprised by the crkt ken onion ripple, around $30 and smooth as butter because of the ball bearing opening design.

Non-assisted:
Kershaw Chill
Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw OD-1 maybe
Kershaw OD-2
CRKT Ripple
CRKT M16-01kz
Buck Vantage

Assisted:
Kershaw Shallot blem
Kershaw Leek
Kershaw Scallion
Kershaw Chive
Kershaw Clash
Kershaw Zing
Kershaw Asset
Kershaw Tremor
Kershaw Compound
Kershaw Volt II

Etc.

I say get a Skyline.
I own a few different flipper and assisted knives yet the Skyline is riding in my Left Front Pocket. One of the few in my EDC lineup.

Ripple is my current edc and I love it

I know the crkt Carson range (various m21 and m16's)
Personally I would advise looking at the kershaw range. Have an M21 and an M16 and not happy with them anymore

I've been eyeing the Kershaw Needs Work for a while. Looks like a great design in all aspects but the pocket clip.

I really like the OD-1, kind of a different kind of flipper, but works really well and is very fast.

+1 for the crkt walmart ripple for sub $40 flipper... if youre willing to spend a little more i would go with a kershaw ram

Get the Skyline.

Made in the USA flipper awesomeness.

The Walmart Ripple is Made in China.

The Buck Vantage is way too thick for no reason and the flipper takes a lot longer to get used to than the Skyline.

not sure if the op is interested/concerned with knife politics...

^ what she said

The Kershaw Zing (especially in orange G-10) is a really cool and unique folder within your price range and flicks with ease. It's one of my personal favorites and an excellent size for an EDC folder. Not to mention it's really hard to loose one given the bright orange handle.

Kershaw oso sweet or kershaw chill but if it don't need to be a flipper check out kabar folding hunter by bob dosier

I've got a small handful of inexpensive non-assisted flippers. Of those, the two standouts are definitely the Kershaw Skyline and CRKT Ripple. For me, I prefer the Skyline because it doesn't have a thumb ramp or jimping on the spine (two elements I can live with but do not prefer). I also prefer the G10 over aluminum and I like that the Skyline offers both tip-up and tip-down options. Unfortunately, neither knife has left-handed clip positions, so if you're a southpaw, keep that in mind. If you don't mind any of the features/issues I mentioned regarding the CRKT, you will mostly likely love it.
