Well I'm one handed for a few months and I need a bag for around the house and going outside. My outside stuff is mostly to Doctor's or places where I need to carry a file folder along with the edc.
USN Brother ED_T was gracious enough to loan me a fatboy to see if it fit my needs
So which is optimum for my needs the Fatboy or the CountyComm Bail Out Bag??
The FB fills all my needs cept when I need the files with me. I carry the FB even When I'm in the house.
- In the house edc is:
glasses
recorder
phone
knife Spyderco S30 Native
bandana
lighter
gum
camera...never without it
Spare batts 4 aa nimh
calendar
pen
dog treats
VIP light
- Going out Additionals
Sunglasses
Wallet
money
Spyderco Maddox like an ULU
book to read
keys
- CountyComm Bail Out Bag Adds
file folders
FB has the optional strap pad. It's a perfect length to reach into the various pockets some have zips others not.
The strap is designed to be worn over the right side as that's where the cell pouch and release clip is.
Even when I was two handed I wore sling bags or over the neck on my left side and this poses zero problems or hassles.
I place my small cell phone in the zippered side pouch which is in my forward position. The spring hook on the forward strap is perfect for keys. I tuck the keys inside the strap against my body so there's no rattle.
The rear velcro pouch holds my VIP light.
Above that, where the strap starts is a deep pouch with quick clip. This is too deep for easy access to my small flip phone so I have a second pair of glasses there. ED_T put a quartz watch on the end flap which is a perfect spot for a watch. I use the attached watch way more than originally thought. Perfect! Next to this pouch is a pen storage.
The FB main flap has a small zip compartment and here I store dog treats and money.
Under the main flap is an open pouch which has knife, glasses and recorder.
behind this is a zipped compartment with a sturdy mesh separator. I have nothing in this.
Behind this is the main compartment with drawstring cover. there's a mesh separator on the rear wall. here I stash the camera. Canon A80. On the other side of the mesh I have the bandana, gum, calendar.
Closing the main flap exposes the zipped compartment riding against your body. Here I have wallet, letters to mail.
This is my perfect man bag!! When I'm sitting, as in a car I just swivel the FB to the front Where it's comfy.
The CC BOB is ideal for when I carry folders.
It holds all that's in the fatboy and is as efficient..JUST LARGER!
The pouches are more exposed than the more consolidated FB.
In addition the CCBOB can hold a large flashlight. I've had the large Streamlight XL20 or my Tigerlight in a pouch. You can also stash a totes type umbrella in this pouch.
All pouches are easily accessible an the interior main compartment is divided in two.
There. a zip compartment on your body side where I put my wallet.
There's probably more storage in this than the FB.
