Fatboy vs "S"-type Fatboy . . . ???

Seems the Fatboy is designed to be worn on the right side. Other threads say it can be worn on either side. The "S" type is designed to be worn on the left side but can if desired, be worn on the right side. At least that's the impression I get from reading various threads.

What's the straight skinny? Anyone have experience with both? Pros & Cons? Or pictures showing both types of Fatboy side by side?

Any information comparing these two handy little pouches would be much appreciated.

I keep getting sucked into these threads. I think they are about harley's.

I going to try and find out what these are about now.

Well, I have an original fatboy and it works fine on my left side. Can't put it on right side because gun goes there.

The FatBoy is designed to carry on the right. The cell phone pouch is oriented for use in right hand carry. By design, it can be carried on the left, but you loose quick access to the cel pouch. My g/f carries her FatBoy on the left.

The S-type carries on the left because the attachment point for a cell pouch is in the front when the bag is carried on the left. There is no pouch on the S-type, so you can add your own cel or radio holster. The S-type also has velcro on the top flap to attach ID. (that had to be hand stiched on to mine)

I see the s-type as Maxpedition's way of shrinking down a product and forcing users to buy something else from their product line. Ripoff!!!$$$$$$$$

A slight modular improvment but nothing amazing about it.
