I think you're meshing the two bombs' names together..

Little Boy (Hiroshima) and Fat Man (Nagasaki). I could be wrong but that's what I remember :footinmou

which pack is that attached to the Fatboy? how securely does it fasten, and how easy is it to take off? sorry if i'm hijacking the thread, a quick answer would suffice.

thanks

I assume you mean the small pack attached to the strap? Maxpedition calls it a Cell Phone Sheath, supposedly fits most cell phones so I'd say it's probably the width of a pack of cards and twice as deep. It's part of the shoulder strap and there isn't any indication it comes off. Maxpedition offers small packs/sheaths that attach to the pack as well.

I'm expecting a FatBoy to show up at my place within the next few days.

That pack is the M2 Waist-pak. It attaches very easily via a set of 2 snap straps that are permantely afixed to it. It is just as easy to take off as it is to put on. I added it in addition to the attached cell phone holder, which btw, I use to carry a Gerber 800 Legend Multi-Tool.

I got both from Omega Tactical. Vince is top-notch in my book. :D

Gee...Imagine THAT...Almost 50 years old, and I've already lost my mind!.:D..:D.

I recieved the black Fatboy with a PUG last Christmas and it has been a great pack. Maxpedition is the ultimate in versatility and durability. The only rival to this pack that even comes close is my Filson!
Matt

ah Jazzman you had to say "Filson" didn't you? ;) Now I gotta go and do a google search to find out about it and I am so weak seeing is often wanting. D--n! But you did say it comes close to the Fatboy? High praise. I gave up my Tumi for a Fatboy :D

Java, I've been seriously considering getting a khaki Fatboy as a "murse" for a while. Thanks MUCH for those pictures, as they give a better "feel" for the bag than any others I've seen online.

KV - have you added an extra pocket on your FatBoy shoulder strap? On the left side of the picture, there appears to be an additional pocket - is that an add on? I like th eextra space - what is it?

david

Don't I feel like an idiot - after my ADD wore off - I saw that half way through the post - KV answered the question that I asked - sorry for the idiot moment!

hrmm... it looks like a purse if you ask me. practical, i'm sure.

;) :D
