Father and son barlows united...

I found a refurbished Imperial R.I. barlow with maple burl covers on a certain trendy hand-crafted goods site earlier this year. The seller said the pen blade was beyond salvaging so it became a single blade. Despite a couple cracks in the covers the quality of work is really fantastic. I ended up gifting it to my father without ever having snapped any photos.

Not too long ago I happened upon another Imperial R.I. barlow at a flea market in excellent condition for a mere $15! Managed to snag my first barlow, it cleaned right up and the thin blades took some scary sharp edges!

I'm down visiting my parents in NC right now and thought I'd share some pics of the two mingling...
