Greetings All:

This is a Father/Son pair of fighters - I sure hope they get along well! :D

Each is 14" OAL/9" BL - Dad owns the Mammoth Ivory and Son owns the Sambar Stag. All comments welcome.

Take Care,

TK

As my parents would say "Oh My"!

Very nice!

I appreciate the kind words gentlemen :)

Thanks for commenting fellas - appreciate it. I find the subhilts with a pommel are the most nerve wracking when trying to line up 16 corners with a :eek:$400 piece of mammoth ivory.......

beautiful. I dislike the sub-hilt knife as a genre. Add to that, I am generally opposed to hollow grinds (not always, just generally). These are my biases. They just are. However, some of y'all (this being a beautiful example, up there with S.R. Johnson's) do such elegant work with these that I can't help but love them. That is a level of craftsmanship to which I aspire. This work transcends my petty biases, and I just love to see it. I don't know what stronger compliment I could give, as I already said, I aspire to this level of craftsmanship some day. What could be stronger coming from a wannabe colleague?

Those are stunning! Superbly done, they will be extremely happy with those.

What a magnificent pair of knives. The grinds are really something and you found some killer stag there. Brilliant!:)

Thanks a bunch fellas - appreciate it.

I paid a king's ransom for the stag - it was some of the last of Tim Balda's (Rootes of Ohio) six year old stash. Why isn't India letting us have any more of it?
