A co-worker friend, and buyer of my last order, asked me to make a pair of matching knives using the same blank he has for his dad and brother. He didn't want anything really fancy like the redwood burl I used on his knife, so I chose some really nice Cocobolo. He asked that on the sheaths, I put their initials and dye them black to match his.

**I apologize for the bad pics, I couldn't get my fiance's camera to work right...and I don't have a light box yet :) **

The blank used is the Boone & Crockett Skinner w/ Cryo Treat from texasknife.com.
--6A high carbon stainless, hand rubbed brushed finish
--OAL: 7.75"
--Blade: 3.75"
--Thickness: 5/32"
--Stainless Pins
--Cocobolo scales sanded to 800 and hand rubbed to work natual oils into finish
--Chris Reeve style paracord lanyard

--8/9oz Veg Tanned leather sheath, finished with Mink Oil

Thanks for looking!

BTW, the 'C' looks double stamped in the pics but it's not...dunno why the pic turned out like that.

Also, I can only assume that these handles will get darker and more rich over time. The scales were VERY dark under a coat of sprayed finish and turned very very light when cut and sanded. My first time using Cocobolo and I have to say, I really like it.

Thanks! He's also a good PR/salesman for me. He's already lined up a couple more orders just from people who have seen his knife. :)
