With Father's Day coming up, I'm looking for knife suggestions to give to the family for them to buy for me.
I typically like folders with a 2.5" to 3.5" blade length, wood or carbon fiber/G10 type scales, clip, weight under 3.5 ounces, and sheeple friendly. No Spydercos please (nothing against them, but I have quite a few and just want something different). For fixed blades I could use something with a blade in the 4" to 7" range, non-kydex sheath, and micarta or similar scales. Type of steel is not critical for the folders or FBs, since I'm sure any knives suggested by BF members will probably have good steel. For either the folders or FBs, I should probably keep the cost under $250 per knife. I know that these general specs will include a lot of knives, but I'm looking for something a little out of the ordinary, a "sleeper" or "diamond in the rough" that may be overlooked often. Thanks, and suggest away...
