Father's Day.......

Happy Father's Day Ethan and the rest of you BeckerHeads!!!

Ethan I'm a better dad because of your knives. The last four years I've got to spend more time with my kids outside being a father than I could have possibly imagined. Got to teach them real skills that they'll take with them forever and who am I kidding, had a great time doing it.

My life wouldn't be the same if I hadn't stumbled across this place 4 years ago.

Thanks for all you do for us Dad!!!

Happy Father's day to you as well, Ethan. I'll echo abrasion's commentary.....since I started with this SF a couple years ago, I've camped more with my 2 girls than all of the previous 10 years, and some other outdoorsy stuff as well - they're taking me to the archery range this afternoon ('cause it's raining and we can't shoot in the backyard), archery being an activity that kinda came to the fore at the first Gathering we went to.

Halfway done with getting the boys backyard playset together, hope to get it done today. Then we can hangout and enjoy it, maybe carve some initials into it.
 
Well, today is my first Father's Day.

Our son arrived on June 11th via c-section seventeen days earlier than expected. Both baby and mother were just fine, and we've been home from the hospital for one week now.

We had some difficulty choosing a name. I was very particular and vetoed nearly every name suggested by family members and friends. The final decision was made about 5 minutes before they took my wife back to the operating room. We decided to call him Ethan.

Good wishes from the father of the entire Becker line. That is quite the line up of offspring. Best wishes to all fathers here, whether your children are human or fury or just adorable, sharpened crovan.

SaturatedShadow, that is quite the story! I hope everyone stays healthy and strong. Excellent choice in name. Ethan, Evan and Gavin were options for us, but we never got a "turtle" in the ultrasounds, so those options went out the window.
 
well, i aren't a Father, but i had one, and i worked my tail off today, still using some of his tools, and definitely doing the same kinds of jobs i hated then (demolition, concrete, lifting heavy stuff)

but i'm a whole lot older, but strong, yet wiser, and a looker too ;)
