Hi Guys,

This is my first post. My father has asked me to research a set of 7 knives in a display case that he purchased in 1980 from Lee E Olsen. Tried to attach pictures but haven't figured this out yet. All of them are numbered, dated and signed by Lee E Olsen with some sort of etching tool, and letters from 4/25/1980 with Mr. Olsen's signature.

They are attached to a red fabric backing in a wood display case with a slide out plexiglas(?) front. Plexiglas seems somewhat brittle and cracked. Thinking about replacing it if it's worth doing.

Any insight you can provide is appreciated.

Sounds like an interesting display piece. Im sure there is some value there and worthy of plexiglass replacement. The Oleson OK hunter and skinners were well done knives. I believe a fire in the 70’s forced a move to Solingen Germany for knives made around 1980. Its very likely the knives are from an earlier time period if stamped with the Michigan location on the tang. Looking forward to your pics.

@“David Sterchele, this is a really great set of Olsen Pewter’s you have. They come from Olsen’s Master Sculpture Line of knives. Do you also happen to have the sheaths and boxes with warranty paperwork to go along with them ? What exactly are you looking to fine out about the set? I’m pretty sure that I can answer most of your questions, but if I can’t I will tell you so. Thanks Brian
