Man, I wish I had a digi-cam! A good while back I picked up a SHSHII, 5/16" in A2 (so I was told). Had smooth bolts, smooth grips. After many months in the safe I just took it out to oil the blade up and check it out. Well much to my suprise when I put the SLI Liquid Gunsmith on it those distinct infi dimples showed up through the smooth coat. I have other A2 blades and they are all smooth under the coating.

Question is, were there any SH's in this configuration (smooth bolts, smooth grips) that were made in infi? I have slotted screw Busse's in both A2 and infi, but all my smooth bolts are A2.

Any long time collectors out there have any info? Especially has anyone seen the dimples in A2? It also has that curved infi grind at the base of the blade rather than the more vertical A2 grind. The edge is not asymettrical, but double convex.

Hope someone can help so I don't have to send it to the shop. Feel like I found a winning Lotto ticket that's been the wallet for ages and almost forgotten. Perhaps Jerry can chime in on this. Thanks all.

Sounds like some one slipped you a cheap knock off Rob. Send it to me and I will help you recoup a $100 of your money. That way you won't be completely out all that money. :D;)

Show me a pic and I'll give my bet. It seems the coating around the handle (its style) is important.
