Recently bought five acres of property up in the pine forest, found this stump while out with the dogs. Pretty much the entire stump top to bottom is bursting with resin. That is a Cold Steel Trailmaster for size comparison, stump is about 3.5-4 ft tall and 6" diameter at the base.

This is not the only stump of fatwood on my property but it is by far the largest so far. Winter is going to be fun...
Also, I would really appreciate it if anyone could ID this plant. There are only two on the entire property and are right next to each other. It has no smell, or irritant qualities. Thanks.
