Well I have found a great source of fatwood for those of us in a hardwood area.
Pine pallets! Where I work we get in alot of raw materals on pallets, and almost every day I find one or two with fatwood in them, some are alomst all fatwood!
Here are a couple of crappy pictures, but you can get the point. And I know alot of places give pallets away for free! Plenty of free fatwood available!
I should have a good 10 pounds just from these couple of boards after i process it down. And I can tell you a fatwood pallet weighs ALOT more then a none fatwood pallet!
