made my own version of the CS Walkabout stick, except mines from premium Canadian Grade douglas fir heartwood fatwood. Used my Scrapyards to shape it, and then used a rag soaked in olive oil to remove the slight stickiness and give it a nice hand rubbed sheen

wrapped it in desert ACU paracord and soaked the wrap with HOT STUFF superglue.

Its the perfect length for city carry and at 4lbs puts a nice hurt on when swung.

slick, I think it's about time I make a new stick myself. I start a new one about once a year and tie in cool things I find on the trail-animal bones, feathers, small artifacts, interesting chunks of wood or stone, etc etc. I have 4 of em in the broom closet.

 Another cool Fatwood idea.

We'll have to start calling you Doctor Fatwood after you change your Blade Forums name to Fatwood PhD :D

How strong is it? Would it break if you whacked something with it? Within reason, of course, would it compare in strength to a regular walking stick?

its incredibly solid. It rings like steel when you whack it with a blade spine. If i hit a solid object like a curb, it will dent, but thats not what i made it for.

Fatwood branches make great batons as well, great weight and tough as nails.
