Faud Accawi Knives............

hey everyone......i have heard of faud accawi before but honestly i never knew anything about his knives really....of course he won the peck award with a knife at the blade show that just passed......does anyone have any of his knives.....want to share any pics or comments on them....i've looked at pics on http://acremetalworks.com/ and was impressed......hopefully those with experience with his blades will comment and add some pics that they have......thanks.....ryan

Hi Ryan,

Fuad added some pics of his test knives to my Blade Show review. I did get to look them over quite closely in person and was quite impressed. Really good lines, very clean work. He does big blades very well - well balanced and quick.

The knife in that link was early in Fuad's knifemaking I think, or at least in his knife selling. I love its blade shape and it's very light in the hand. I have to admit though that early in his career I found many of his knife designs to be odd looking and not in line with my taste, but of late his recent designs have become more traditional (for lack of a better word) so I don't find them so odd anymore. Great guy to talk to.

roger...thanks for your impressions....there's nothing like holding a knife in your hand and examing it...i hope to go to blade next year for my first big knife show....grapevine...thanks for diggin up the old thread....i am very familiar with takeda's knives and know how they perform.....thanks for the comparison!.....let me know if u ever wanna sell that takeda bowie.....thanks for the repsonses so far guys....i appreciate it....ryan
