faulty sebenza

I hope I,m on the right track here, it said tech support and complaints. I would just like some advice on this issue. I have a lg sebenza the celtic model I bought from knife center, anyway the lanyard pin just fell out last week. luckily I was in the house. its the one in back that looks like a standoff, gold in the center and has a hole to feed lanyard through. I called knife center. not there problem. they refered me to chris reeve with a 1800 number. the lady I spoke to said that you need to keep lanyard in, its what holds the the pin in the handle. I have another sebenza I took lanyard off and the pin is still there I think I,m being took, here. any body can tell me anything?

Your question would be better placed in either the CRK Forum or the Maintenance, Tinkering, and Embellishment. MT&E would be the best place for "technical" questions about the function of a knife. (though not necessarily technical questions regarding knife making)

Is your other Sebenza a small?

Perhaps this should be in the CRK forum. The large 21 and the Zaan need the lanyard tied to keep the pin in. The small 21 does not need the lanyard tied as the pin is "stepped". This is just how it is. You do not have a faulty Sebenza.
