As everyone here knows, we all have extremly eclectic tastes in our knives, especially our slipjoints. and with so many different brands out there with so many different blade patterns i have begun to wonder not only which is everyone favorite slip joint itself, but there favorite in each of the blade configurations, and by this i mean the number of blades the knife has. SOOOOO, the question i pose is this...What is your favorite slipjoint that has the following number of blades, 4,3,2, and 1. If you dont own em no worries, just tell your favorite knife witht hat many blades that youd like to get. heres mine...

4: Dont have and have never really looked, but id choose a nice queen in stag congress. D2 and stag=winner to me.
3: my old timer 34ot without a doubt. SO a 3 1/4 stockman is great for me.
2: i have an affinity for trappers. Two huge blades in a small package? count me in. Im loving my Amber BOne CV Trapper from Case.
1: for single blade slippies, there arent may to choose from, but i gotta have stag on mine. flat ground is a plus. 3 3/4 is the way to go for me. Must be my northwoods scagel #11, though with a ray kirk scagel on the way this may be put on the backburner.

What about you guys? And remember, pictures to give us visual aid is ALWAYS welcome.

Other than a scout pattern, I don't actually have any of these, but they look nice . . .

4 - scout
3 - canittler/gunboat
2 - barlow (because I'm currently infatuated with the GEC #25)
1 - mountain man

Of knives I do have it would be:

4- scout (Wenger SI)
3 - small stockman (banged up Boker that I found once)
2 - trapper (wharncliffe)
1 - none

4 - Camillus Scout
3 - tie - Boker Whittler and Camillus Scout Whittler
2 - Tie - Case Copperhead Wharcliffe and Victorinox Pocket Pal. Honorable mention to the Case Peanut.
1 - Case Barehead Slimline Trapper, CV, Yellow

4 - Vic Soldier
3 - My '07 BFC Canal St. Canittler
2 - Case Small Texas Jack
1 - (ugh, too many) Slimline Trapper/Queen Utility, GEC Beavertail, Copperlock...

That's from my current rotation. I reserve the right to present a completely different list every six months. ;)

4 Blade:Victorinox Tinker
3 Blade:Buck 301 Stockman
2 Blade:Case 6299 large jack
1 Blade:Buck 110

4 blade - A.G. russell Scout
3 blade - Marble's Serpentine Whittler (mid-90's USA made)
2 blade - Great Eastern Harness Jack
1 Blade - Northwoods Scagel

4 blade- Vic SAK
3 blade- Schatt & Morgan sowbelly
2 blade- GEC #73 Scout (my favorite pattern)
1 blade- GEC #73 Scout single blade

4 blade- I don't see any reason for carrying a knife with more than 3 blades, unless you're getting a screwdriver or can opener out of the deal. I always carry a Vic Minichamp on my keychain, which sees a lot of use. One of my most-used knives is my Vic Huntsman, which lives on the desk in my office. I carry a Vic Champ in my bag, and that handles most of my multi-tool duties.

3 blade- The Schatt & Morgan sowbelly is a thing of beauty, it's the nicest 3 blade pattern I've found so far. I also like the GEC Cuban, but I got mine in acrylic, and I haven't been able to get used to how slippery the scales are.

2 blade- I love the knives GEC is making based on the old Remington R1123 and R1173 patterns. I'm expecting another GEC #73 to come in the door any minute. I'd love to have an original Remington R1173, but I can't justify spending the $3000 it would probably take to score one. And I seriously doubt that it could be much nicer than the GEC version, as a user.

1 blade- again, I like the GEC Scout. I have matching number Pioneer and Scout models in brimstone bone. The only problem is that they are so beautiful, I can't bring myself to use them. I really like the Case sodbuster and slimline barehead trapper in yellow CV too. I actually use those.
